Hi everyone – firstly, thanks for reading this blog. I’ll be writing one regularly on all things coaching, rehab, speed and agility and general performance related topics. I’ll even throw in the odd case study that I think is interesting and informative and perhaps the odd athlete interview to give us a rounded perspective of performance. One thing you’ll get to know about me is that I love learning, so expect a lot of reflection, lessons learnt and actionable take aways to help you develop as either a coach or athlete.
I hope you enjoy them and if you ever have any questions, just reach out to me via email or reach out to me on our instagram: @Elevate:Rehab.
Firstly, who am I?
My name is Al Murdoch and I own Elevate:Rehab, a performance training facility based in Bath, UK.
Elevate:Rehab is my new company that aims to redefine how we solve the speed and rehab puzzle for athletes.
Elevate is the culmination of many years spent within the performance and professional sporting world where I have learnt many lessons, (some good, some bad!), learnt from amazing mentors and peers, learnt from my own successes and failures along the way and ultimately developed into the coach I am today – a world renowned speed and rehab coach who has helped many international level teams and athletes return to their sport and professions better athletes.
Here’s a testimonial from one of my athletes, England and British Lions Rugby Union player, Anthony Watson:
“Al and the Elevate team are legitimately the best in the business. I’ve worked with Al in both performance and rehab settings and I can comfortably say there is no one better. As a professional athlete with aspirational goals, I need the best support around me and Al provided that and more. I am a better athlete with greater skill sets thanks to my time training with him and returned back from a long term ACL rehab faster, more evasive and fitter than ever before. Elevate are the absolute best when it comes to elite athlete care.”
My objective with Elevate has been born through both a passion for coaching, solving problems and facilitating the growth of both athletes and fellow coaches, but also a frustration with how things are currently done in the speed and rehabilitation world when it comes to athlete performance.
Gone are the days of “get strong and go play” or “let’s start of slow and build into it”. These are topics that I’ll get into in later blog posts.
The world of athletic performance is changing, athletes are asked to be be increasingly more prepared for the demands of the game and our approaches have to keep up with that.
That’s why I have created Elevate:Rehab. It’s a company with 2 simple objectives:
-
- To provide athletes with the absolute best in end stage rehabilitation by blending the art of coaching with the science of speed.
- To provide coaches with an applied coach education package via our 360 Mentorship programme that allows coaches to add value to their athletes, companies and ultimately themselves.
- To provide athletes with the absolute best in end stage rehabilitation by blending the art of coaching with the science of speed.
Let’s go!
